Meetings Management Magazine
Meetings International is your first meetings management magazine. With articles covering key industry issues, strategic meetings management, (SMM), CSR, procurement and return on investment (ROI), through to supply chain management and benchmarking, we help meeting planners develop strategies, content and events that really make a difference.
»We put the planners who create the future of the worldwide meetings industry in the spotlight – where they belong,« says editor in chief, Atti Soenarso.
By combining the Award winning magazine, the award-winning photography, world-class design and writers that fully understand our industry, our aim is simple: to become the leading magazine in the global meetings industry.
The people behind the magazine
Roger Kellerman has been writing about meetings for 30 years, during 2014. Together with his wife and editor in chief, Atti Soenarso they have worked as journalists for more than 60 years. Roger Kellerman started MPI Sweden Chapter 1994 so it will be 20 years during 2014. He also helped both Norway and Finland to start their MPI Chapters. They have created the Swedish Meeting Industry Week, which will be held for the 10th time, in January 2016. They have invites several international speakers to the events in Sweden, Martin Sirk, Christian Mutschlechner, Sebastien Tondeur, Paul Bridle, Eric Rozenberg, Didier Scaillet, Joyce Dogniez, Rod Cameron, David Hornby, Barbara Jamison, Greta Kotler, dr Elling Hamso, dr Tom McDonald, Paul Flackett, Rohit Talwar, Patrick Delaney, Guy Bigwood, to mention but a few. From Sweden, dr Kjell A Nordström, Jan Sturesson, Aja Lind, professor Leif Edvinsson, to mention almost none!
The concept Meetings International
For more than 25 years we have been working with the leading meetings industry association Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and the two leading global exhibitions IMEX and EIBTM, this has given us a strong international perspective on the industry and we now want to share our experience and knowledge with a global audience. From 2010 we have also joined the ICCA Family. Our global magazine did during 2011 become a global magazine and the two issues is launched IMEX in Frankfurt, and at EIBTM in Barcelona. For the first time ever we will publish a BGlobal usiness Intellegence Report just before the ICCA Congress in Antalya/Turkey.
MPI Chapter Sweden
Meetings International is the official magazine for MPI Chapter Sweden and publisher Roger Kellerman was the founder of MPI in Sweden back in 1994.
Comments about Meetings International
”Grabbed a copy during EIBTM of your new magazine and I read it all the way through the last evening in Barcelona! GREAT! Absolutely interesting and a completely different approach – the marks are already high, a challenge for you to continue, but I am sure you will make it. CONGRATULATIONS!”
CEO, Vienna Convention Bureau
”What a fantastic new version of the magazine! At last we can read this innovative publication in English and appreciate fully the editorial excellence of Atti Soenarso. Congratulations!”
Commercial Director, Visit London
”I receive a lot of meetings industry journals but read only one from cover to cover every time. Meetings International is completely different from all the others, every issue is filled with meeting management best practice examples rather than destination reports and industry gossip. This is the magasine you read to develop yourself as a meeting management professional”.
Dr. Elling Hamso
European ROI Institute
”As you can imagine, I read a lot of publications about our industry, but I can honestly say that yours is the most stimulating and thought-provoking magazine I have ever seen, in this field. How on earth did you manage to find such a group of serious thinkers, all with really original things to say about meetings? And – more importantly – how will you find others, for subsequent editions? Seriously, congratulations on an excellent magazine – which my students of Conference & Events Management will also find extremely useful, for their own research. I am very much looking forward to future editions.”
