Messukeskus Refurbishes its Conference Centre
This year Messukeskus, Expo and Convention Center Helsinki has been refurbished on an unprecedented scale. The Messukeskus Conference Centre has also had a facelift, with the lobbies and 1,100-seated main seminar hall being renovated during the summer.
Interior designer Samuli Hintikka of dSign Vertti Kivi & Co designed the new look for Messukeskus. The exhibition centres of Milan and Stockholm served as sources of inspiration for the renovated facilities.
The colours, surfaces and materials of lobbies and the largest, 1,100-seated main seminar hall were refurbished. New furnishings, an elegant textile carpet and inspiring lighting were added to enhance the venue's attractiveness. Led-walls with adaptable lighting that provide the facilities with a ‘flood of colour’, customisable to mirror the event theme or the identifying colours of the company hosting the event, form the basis of a new kind of customer experience.
A gigantic and impressive electronic advertisement display in the meeting hall flexibly provides information on the programme of the event in progress.
