Congrex Bankruptcy Trustee Sells a www address for 875 000 SEK
When CONGREX went bankrupt they owned the URL konferens.se, which came from the former SKD purchase. Now, bankruptcy attorney Odd Swarting, Setterwalls law firm, has sold the address to the Swedish company White Equity Invest AB. In addition, a law firm in the UK has told the district court that Odd Swarting should be disqualified as the trustee in the bankruptcy.
Odd Swarting denies that he should be disqualified as the trustee, but has at the same time requested the appointment of another trustee to handle the parts creditors believe needs to be investigated by someone else.
– The URL has been sold following a tender process with many stakeholders to the highest bidder for 875,000 SEK including VAT, said Odd Swartling in a comment. He said that he just looked at who would pay the most, so that he can get as much money as he can to the bankruptcy estate.
– It's an almost improbable charge, says one industry analyst who wishes to remain anonymous. Obviously the buyer expect to make a lot of money from this address. It would not be worth even half to someone working inside the industry. As far as I known, the buyer has no organization or knowledge to conduct this kind of online booking business. That you can book "as usual" is thus a lie when the estate does not run the business which has been linked to the address. A bad start if one wants to pursue a serious business.
White Equity Invest has previously been under fire, including its company "118700 Text, Web & Telephone." Viewing one site rejta.se (only in Swedish) the company receives scathing criticism from many unhappy people.
The company has also previously made a notable buy when Tourist Company Ötab was declared bankrupt on Öland in October 2010. There White Equity Invest bought the URL and wanted to copy all the companies to their own page and then get paid for it.
