The Society for Experimental Biology (SEB) Annual Conference 2025 will take place from 8–11 July 2025 at A Room with a ZOO, Antwerp. The event is set to welcome over a thousand in-person delegates, with additional participants expected to join digitally.

Renowned for fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across the biosciences, the SEB Annual Conference is a cornerstone of the global scientific calendar. The conference will bring together scientists from diverse biological disciplines to share cutting-edge research, develop new collaborations, and celebrate the power of experimental biology to address global challenges. Featuring a rich programme of plenaries, symposia, workshops, and social events, SEB Antwerp 2025 promises to inspire and connect early-career researchers and established experts alike.

“We are thrilled to host the Society for Experimental Biology in Antwerp,” says Tadeja Pivc Coudyser, CEO of the Antwerp Convention Bureau. “A Room with a ZOO offers a unique environment for scientific exchange, located in the heart of the city and surrounded by the natural beauty of one of Europe’s oldest zoos. It, as well as the whole of the rest of Antwerp, which is a health hub, is the perfect place for an event that celebrates life science in all its diversity.”

The convention bureau’s ethos “The City is Your Venue” will be felt throughout SEB 2025, as Antwerp’s vibrant streets, rich cultural offerings, and world-class hospitality become part of the delegate experience. From exploring the historic city centre to discovering the latest innovations at the University of Antwerp, delegates will enjoy a truly immersive setting for learning and networking.
