Industry association ICCA has announced its 60th General Assembly (Digital) will take place on Monday, 11 October 2021 from 13:00 to 14:30 CET. The association will provide a link for members in the coming weeks. The digital format, ICCA says, is due to the Covid-19 pandemic and will enable the association to connect all members globally during the General Assembly.
Members who wish to attend the GA physically at the ICCA Head Office Amsterdam are required to let ICCA know of their attendance two weeks in advance. Members are asked to apply by email before 27 September 2021 to confirm physical attendance.
All General Assembly votes, for both regular GA items and candidates to the ICCA Board of Directors (BoD), will be cast on a secure website. The voting will open no earlier than 30 days prior to the GA and no later than five days prior, and will remain open until at least the first 15 minutes of the actual GA.
The agenda and all necessary documentation will be made available no later than 14 days in advance of the GA.
ICCA BoD elections will be held for the following regions and sectors:

- Meeting Support (1 vacancy)
Regions
- Middle East (1 vacancy)
- North America (1 vacancy)
- Latin America (1 vacancy)
The call for elections will be sent out to the sector and/or region which will be holding elections, no later than, 14 September 2021. During that time all members will be able to vote for their sector via electronic ballot. Voting by proxy is prohibited. Every member is entitled to one vote in General Assembly voting, irrespective of whether they physically attend or not.
Preparations for the 60th Annual ICCA Congress 24–27 October, in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, continue meanwhile, under the theme ‘Forward to our Future’. The Congress will be a hybrid event, with global hubs also planned.
