Sydney/Warrane has been selected as the host city for the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2025. The congress will be held at the ICC Sydney from 29 September–3 October 2025. The IAC covers the latest space information and developments in academia and industry, exploring all space sectors and topics.
The successful bid was a collaboration between the Space Industry Association of Australia (SIAA), the Australian Space Agency (ASA), the New South Wales Government and BE Sydney, with Tourism Australia’s Business Events Bid Fund Program helping to secure the congress on Australian shores.
Australia previously hosted the International Astronautical Congress in Adelaide/Tarndanya in 2017 which was credited as a key driver for forming the Australian Space Agency in that city.
