Industry legend Patrick Delaney has received the 2022 Hall of Fame award at the annual conference of Association of Irish Professional Conference Organisers (AIPCO). Along with business partner Padraic Gilligan, Delaney (67) runs SoolNua, a specialist business events advisory company that helps destinations, hotels, venues and MICE agencies and associations with strategy, marketing and training. The enterprise has been trading for 25 years, in various guises including Delaney Marketing Consultants, Ovation Group, MCI Dublin and Ovation Global.
According to the SoolNua website, in recent years Delaney and Gilligan have delivered customised training for MICE professionals in Czechia, Malaysia, Italy, Sri Lanka, Slovakia, Oman, Korea and Slovenia.
AIPCO members at the organisation’s conference at Carton House today report that business activity levels are 65 per cent of that seen pre-pandemic.
