Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) is the Victorian state winner in the category of Event Venue 1500+ at the 2021 Victorian Meetings and Events Australia (MEA) Industry Awards last night. Additionally, MCEC Manager Event Operations Chantal Trimboli was named the Victorian state and national overall winner of the MEA Operations Persons of the Year award and MCEC Retail Operations Manager Amrita Dip was named the Victorian state winner in the Future Leader of the Year award category.

The MEA Awards recognise those who demonstrate excellence in the organisation, planning and delivery of business events, major events and festivals, special events, cause-related events, conferences and exhibitions.

MCEC Manager Event Operations Chantal Trimboli said “I’m honoured to have been named MEA’s Operations Person of the Year. 2020 was the year of being courageous, thinking outside the box and giving things a go. A huge thank you to the MCEC executive team for the nomination and continued support.”

MCEC Retail Operations Manager Amrita Dip said “I am so humbled and touched to be the state winner of the MEA Future Leader of the Year. It has been such a difficult 18 months for our industry, but it has been fantastic to see the coming together of the industry to celebrate young talent. A very big thank you to MEA for the award and MCEC for the nomination.”
