Seven convention bureaux, 13 incentive travel companies (ITC), and 17 professional congress organisers (PCO) have received recommendations from Poland Convention Bureau for 2023–2024.

On 28 February, at NYX Hotel Warsaw by Leonardo Hotels in Warsaw, Poland Convention Bureau (operating within structures of the Polish Tourism Organisation) held a meeting to award certificates to Polish professionals from the MICE industry. Poland Convention Bureau officially recommended the use of professional Convention Bureaux (CBs), Professional Congress Organisers (PCOs), and Incentive Travel Companies (ITCs) for all the events taking place in the country.

Marcin Różycki, vice-president of the Polish Tourism Organisation, announced that 21 partners (some in a dual category) had been awarded certificates with Poland Convention Bureau recommendations. This certification attests to their professionalism and the high-quality services they provide. With their extensive experience and knowledge, these organisations can guarantee events in Poland are carried out professionally and efficiently.

“The Polish Tourism Organisation is excited to welcome event organisers and their attendees to Poland and work collaboratively to ensure the success of their events. For almost 20 years, the Polish Tourism Organisation has been implementing PCO, ITC and CB recommendation programmes that serve to professionalise the Polish meetings industry by developing conference services in Poland, increasing knowledge and skills, and strengthening the professional position of people operating in the meetings market through international cooperation,” said Marcin Różycki.

The recommended entities are obliged to demonstrate other activities showing their professionalisation, such as international certificates held, membership in international associations and organisations, industry awards, or examples of activities undertaken in the spirit of sustainable development aimed at minimising the negative, and increasing the positive, impact on the environment and the local community.

“I am pleased that Poland Convention Bureau continues its recommendation programme, which plays an important role in attracting international events to Poland. It is worth emphasising that the regulations of the programmes have been updated and adapted to the new reality of hybridisation and digitalisation of conference events,” said Aneta Książek, Head of Poland Convention Bureau at the Polish Tourism Organisation.

The certificate award ceremony was part of an event for representatives of the MICE industry and Polish convention bureaux. This year’s event also inaugurated a new project called the “Eventprofs Creators Lab,” in which participants took part in an inspiration session with experts Natasha de Caiado Castro and Dagmara Plata-Alf.
