A strong Scandinavian bid has helped Copenhagen win the bid to host the 49th International Federation of Beekeepers’ Associations’ (Apimondia) congress in 2025. The congress, which will be held at Copenhagen’s Bella Center, is expected to attract more than 5,000 beekeepers and scientists from around the world.

Copenhagen was announced as the host city at the 47th Apimondia congress, which took place in Istanbul. The win results from a solid Scandinavian bid and collaboration between the Danish, Norwegian and Swedish beekeeping associations.

Apimondia is a non-governmental organisation that brings together beekeepers, manufacturers of beekeeping equipment and a wide variety of scientists involved in apiculture, apitherapy, pollination, development and economics.
