The 5th World Conference on Floating Solutions (WCFS 2025) is hosted by the Finnish company Bluet Floating Solutions. The Conference is organised in collaboration with the Society of Floating Solutions and a team of educational, academic, and research institutes, such as Finnish state-owned research institutions VTT and Haaga-Helia. The conference will take place in Espoo, Finland, from September 1st to 3rd, 2025.
The Society of Floating Solutions, Singapore (SFSS) initiated the World Conference on Floating Solutions (WCFS) in 2019 to bring international experts and leaders together to disseminate recent research and developments in floating solutions. The second WCFS was held in Rotterdam in 2020, the third in Tokyo in 2023, and the fourth in Hong Kong in December 2024.
The theme of WCFS 2025 is “Floating solutions for sustainable urban waterfront development and blue economy.” The conference will interest architects, engineers, urban planners, biologists, social scientists, consultants, manufacturers, developers, government officials, researchers, academics, and postgraduate students interested in floating solutions. Each conference has had about 250 delegates from all over the world.
