The annual CINP World Congress held in major cities around the world provides a forum to present the latest findings in the field of neuropsychopharmacology and allows the world’s leading scientists and clinicians from all backgrounds to exchange ideas and information. Its program is among the highest quality scientific programs in this field and includes plenary lectures, cutting edge scientific symposia, poster sessions, and educational and scientific workshops.

The deciding factors for Tokyo winning the bid were the Japanese Society of Neuropsychopharmacology (JSNP)’s long standing and active contributions to the organization’s mission and the solid proposal made by the Japan Bid Committee. The Committee was motivated to secure hosting rights and is committed to holding a successful World Congress 2024 in close collaboration with JSNP, the Japanese Society of Clinical Neuropsychopharmacology (JSCNP), and the Asian College of Neuropsychopharmacology (AsCNP).

This success regarding the CINP 2024 bid process would never have been possible without the strong leadership and steadfast commitment of the Japan Bid Committee, its chair Professor Kazutaka Ikeda, and its members. The TCVB also played a significant role, bringing its experience to bear to support the Japan Bid Committee prepare its bid proposal and presentation materials Finally, a generous subsidy from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) to provide financial and in kind support for the Congress was essential in the decision.

The convening of this Congress in Tokyo, the center of academic activities of many research oriented societies, will undoubtedly significantly impact academia in Japan. The TMG and the TCVB will continue to offer their support to deliver a successful and unforgettable CINP Congress in Tokyo.
