The I.S.P.O. World Congress is returning to Europe for the first time in a decade, and from June 16 to 19, the event will be held at Stockholmsmässan in Stockholm. As the world’s leading congress in the fields of prosthetics, orthotics, mobility aids and rehabilitation, the event is expected to gather more than 4,000 participants from over 100 countries.

“We are proud that Stockholmsmässan has been selected as the venue for such a prominent international event. It’s a strong recognition of the capacity and attractiveness of both our venue and the city of Stockholm,” says Anna-Karin Werner, Head of Congresses and Guest Events at Stockholmsmässan.

Bridging science and practice

With the theme “Science in Practice, Practice in Science: Collaboration and Innovation Towards Sustainable Rehabilitation”, the congress will focus on the interaction between research and clinical application. Attendees can look forward to an extensive programme including lectures, workshops and interactive sessions exploring the future of rehabilitation and assistive technologies.

A particular emphasis will be placed on the next generation of professionals through initiatives such as the “3-Minute Thesis”, a dedicated student programme, and a start-up zone where new players present cutting-edge innovations.

Large international exhibition

Alongside the scientific programme, a comprehensive trade exhibition will take place, featuring leading companies and organisations showcasing the latest advancements in sensors, AI, wearable technologies and high-tech orthopaedics.

The Congress is organised by the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO), in collaboration with ISPO member organisations in Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
