Radisson Hotel Group has announced the signing of Radisson RED Birmingham Edgbaston Stadium, located at one of the leading cricket grounds in the UK. The new hotel, set to open in 2027, joins Radisson Hotel Group’s rapidly growing portfolio in the UK and Ireland, which now includes more than 70 hotels in operation and under development in the region.
The newly built Radisson RED Birmingham Edgbaston Stadium is expected to open in Q2, 2027. The bold hotel will feature 146 guest rooms, each reflecting Radisson RED’s vibrant signature style and design, which incorporates art, music, and fashion to offer an unforgettable stay to all guests.
The hotel will be incorporated into Edgbaston Stadium, a famous and renowned cricket ground. The stadium has a capacity of 25,000 visitors and is home to Warwickshire County Cricket Club. Cricket is a global sport with more than 1.6 billion fans worldwide and is one of the top sports in the UK. More than half of the hotel’s guest rooms will overlook the cricket ground. Several of the rooms have balconies and are convertible rooms that can also be used as hospitality boxes during matches and as additional meeting spaces for events. For guests with meeting and event needs, there are additional on-site M&E facilities easily accessible from the hotel.
The main Restaurant and bar, covering 330 m², will be located on the rooftop floor, overlooking the cricket ground. From the restaurant, guests will have direct access to an outside terrace offering panoramic views of the Birmingham skyline.

Edgbaston Stadium is one of the leading cricket grounds in the UK. It is located in the Edgbaston area, 2 miles from the centre of Birmingham, making it easily accessible to fans from all parts of the country. The stadium hosts several major international cricket matches yearly, including the ICC World Cup and the Ashes. It also hosts a range of conferences, exhibitions, and other events throughout the year.

The Radisson RED hotel will be the centrepiece of a project that includes the redevelopment of the Edgbaston stadium’s Raglan and Family Stands. The project will incorporate a modern, new concourse with enhanced food and drink options and improved facilities for disabled spectators.
Edgbaston Stadium is well connected to primary transport links, making it easy to reach by car, train, or air. Birmingham International Airport is approximately 13 km from Edgbaston Stadium. Regular bus and train services connect the airport to Birmingham city centre and Edgbaston. Edgbaston Stadium is easily accessible from the M5 and M6 motorways. There is ample parking near the stadium for those who prefer to drive.
Nearby attractions include the Cadbury World, a museum and factory tour showcasing the history and production of chocolate. The concert venue Symphony Hall, known for its outstanding acoustics and diverse programming, and Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery, a large museum with a vast collection of art, artefacts, and historical items, are both about 3km away from the hotel.
