Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau (TCVB) has announced that Tokyo will host the 22nd Asia-Pacific Retailers Convention & Exhibition (APRCE) from October 7 to October 9, 2026, at Tokyo International Forum.
APRCE is a biennial convention and exhibition organised by the member associations of the Federation of Asia-Pacific Retailers Associations (FAPRA), and is Asia’s longest-running retail convention and exhibition, providing a networking and knowledge-sharing platform for all regional retailers. It has been held twice in Tokyo, in 1983 and 2007. APRCE 2026, organised by the Japan Retailers Association (JRA) and FAPRA, commemorates the third time Tokyo will host this assembly, marking its return after 19 years. It will attract 4,000 participants, including 1,500 overseas specialists from over 18 countries and regions.
TCVB played a significant role in support of APRCE in Japan’s bid proposal preparation. Subsidies from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) have provided financial and in-kind support for APRCE 2026, which was also essential in the selection.
