More than 300 diverse dog breeds will participate in the show, among which the most numerous are Golden Retriever, Welsh Corgi Pembroke, German Spitz Pomeranian, Labrador Retriever, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Whippet, Siberian Husky, English Bulldog, English Cocker Spaniel, Border Collie, Beagle and Scottish Rough Collie.

This show, along with many other grand events this spring, is of significance for further positioning Zagreb as a world capital for international events.

“Zagreb welcomes spring most beautifully and spectacularly! Bathed in the scents and colours of blossoming nature, it traditionally hosted yet another edition of the Festival of Lights Zagreb. With the power of imagination and creativity of masters of light and 3D mapping from Croatia and abroad, our lovely city painted with magical light conveyed a strong message of nature preservation and sustainability. Numerous visitors worldwide came to experience the magic of light and enjoy spring in Zagreb,” says Martina Bienenfeld, PhD, CEO, Zagreb Tourist Board & Convention Bureau.

“With spring also comes a very lively season of business events in the city. We were proud hosts to another successful edition of Meetex, which gathered hosted buyers from Europe, Asia and North America. They enjoyed networking and getting to know the potential and advantages of Zagreb as an attractive meetings, incentives and events destination.”

The spring buzz continues, and this April alone, Zagreb is set to host as many as four major global events. In the spotlight are the prestigious ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships 2024, the unmissable auto moto spectacle WRC Croatia Rally 2024, this year’s largest canine event in the world World Dog Show 2024, and the flagship event of the European judo community Senior European Judo Championships 2024. The events will draw thousands of fans and visitors to Zagreb and reinforce the city’s international event status.
