UK-based travel management company Clarity is launching operations in the Nordics with a six-strong team led by Jonas Freudenberg.
Clarity Nordics is based in Sweden and will serve public and private sector clients across the Nordics. It will deliver “exceptional in-country service, bolstered by the finest local market knowledge, technology and content.” The new operation will also become part of the One Global network of TMCs founded in 2022 by Clarity and World Travel Inc. It is expected to add further staff by the end of the year as it implements and onboards business that has already been secured.
“When the challenge of solving our fulfilment needs in the Nordics arose, we knew swift action was necessary to ensure continuity of service from people we trust,” said Pat McDonagh, Clarity CEO and One Global chairman. “Once we learned Jonas was available, the decision to work with him and his team in establishing Clarity Nordics was easy.”
Freudenberg, formerly COO and head of global sales for BIG Travel Sweden, added: “This is a fantastic opportunity to build something special. Joining Clarity was an easy decision for me and my team.”
The TMC already serves several overseas markets and has a presence in the Republic of Ireland and the Netherlands.
Asked whether further overseas expansion could follow, a representative of the TMC told BTN Europe: “If the opportunities are there, we will always carefully consider all possibilities for continued business growth and wider support to our customers.”
In February, Clarity launched a new specialist division catering to the entertainment and media industries.
