Saija Syväjärvi, Master of Hospitality Management (UAS), has been appointed Service and Production Director and member of the management team at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. She will start in her new position on April 1, 2026.
Saija Syväjärvi has extensive leadership experience in service businesses in the real estate and hospitality sectors. She joins Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre from Sato-Asunnot, where she has worked as Service Director. She has previously held leadership positions at Lapland Hotels, Sokotel and HOK-Elanto. She holds a Master’s degree in hospitality management from a university of applied sciences.
As Service and Production Director, she will be responsible for technical services, construction services, event services, and graphic services at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre, and says: “I am truly honoured to join Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre’s highly skilled events team. It has been inspiring to witness the enduring appeal of this over one-hundred-year-old organisation, and I believe its future is excellent.
