The Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre will be renovated in the fall of 2024. The largest facility in the Conference Centre, hall 101, will be equipped with a new LED wall. With a width of 23 metres and an area of over 100 square metres, it will be Finland’s most prominent display screen in a conference room. This renovation significantly enhances the space’s technical capabilities.
Hall 101 at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre is the venue for various events, such as seminars, evening receptions and banquets, exhibitions, anniversary celebrations, annual general meetings, and concerts. Its capacity extends to 1100 attendees for seminar use and 560 gala guests for festive occasions, and with the renovations in the fall of 2024, the technical capabilities of the hall will be significantly expanded.
The LED wall consists of three parts and enables versatile content presentation, such as displaying an image behind the speaker and showing a video or multiple images simultaneously. Its brightness and contrast are top-notch, allowing easy manipulation of the event atmosphere by utilising colours, light, video, animation, and streaming. The wide display area also provides a striking opportunity for branding.
In addition to the new LED display, Hall 101 will undergo improvements in ventilation, enhancing opportunities for camera filming, and upgrading the ceiling lighting to allow adjustment of lighting colour and temperature according to the needs of each event. Furthermore, the stage of the hall and its stairs will be renovated.
The technical solutions of Hall 101 and other future renovations at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre will be presented at the Kongressi Meetings & Events 2024 fair on April 10–11, 2024, at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre, stand 17.
